Ultima 9 Classic LaserComb

The HairMax LaserComb® is a very effective device when used correctly. It is manufactured using precision components and should last 10-15 years under normal usage. Please take time to read the entire User Manual before operating the your HairMax.

Use the Ultima 9 Classic for 11 minutes, 3 times a week. The treatments should be spaced every other day, for example Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Move your HairMax slowly 1/2 inch every 4 seconds. It is recommended, but not essential, that your HairMax be used on a clean scalp after washing. Your hair can be wet, towel dried or dry. Your HairMax should be used prior to applying any topical treatments, gels, sprays or concealing products.

Charge your HairMax using either the charging cradle or by placing the power cord directly into the handle end of your HairMax. For initial charging, allow 2-3 hours to fully charge your HairMax. The indicator light on the power button will flash during the charging process. Once charging is complete, the light will stop flashing and remain on. Turn on your HairMax by pressing the power button and hold until power button light turns on. Next, press the laser button until it lights up. That means your HairMax is ready for use.

Before beginning treatment, be sure to test your HairMax for sensitivity (see page 5 of your User Manual). To start your treatment place your HairMax flat on your scalp so that both rows of teeth are touching the scalp.

Lift your HairMax off your scalp and start at a new position at the hair line. Continue in this manner from front to back and then side to side (Figure F) until you cover your entire scalp with multiple passes. When your HairMax is on it will beep and vibrate every four (4) seconds. This means that it is time to move your HairMax to the next area of the scalp. Repeat these passes for the total treatment of 11 min for Ultima 9 Classic.

If you have long hair, use your fingers to lift your hair out of the way while using your HairMax to be sure that the laser energy reaches your scalp.

After treatment, turn off your HairMax by pressing and holding the power button (lower button) until the indicator light turns off. Store the device in the charging cradle for future use. You may leave the power cord plugged into the charging cradle at all times.

Please Note:

• The total time required for treatment with the Ultima 9 Classic is 11 minutes.
• It is important to move your HairMax very slowly. Remember, you are bathing the scalp with laser light. If you move it too fast, the treatment will not achieve the optimal results to promote hair growth.
• While there are no negative effects from overuse, it is recommended that you use your HairMax according to directions.
• Your HairMax has advanced electronics to make sure that the device is working properly. If for some reason you are experiencing difficulties with your device, before sending it back to us for repair, please refer to the Troubleshooting section of your User Manual.
